The 2019 + Ford Ranger EcoBoost's air system can be revolutionized with Mishimoto's Cold Air Intake Kit. This product breathes much easier than its stock counterpart. The new intake kit improves airflow by 49% over stock, adds a new sound, and helps your system last longer. Safer air and fuel ratios are achieved without the assistance of custom tuning. A new, high-quality sound also helps you stand out in the crowd. More versatility is added due to its compatibility with larger, aftermarket intercooler pipes if you choose to install one. The intake additionally comes with a high-flow, high-capacity air dry element filter that doesn't need to maintained with oil to last and can be washed as needed.
When examining the stock intake of the Ranger, Mishimoto discovered that the stock air duct was detrimental to air flow as a restriction point. The 2.3L EcoBoost Cold Air Intake Kit was carefully designed and engineered by Mishimoto to deliver excellent fitment and flow to your truck. The restrictive air duct was redesigned in Mishimoto's intake and placed instead in the rotational-molded air box. The inlet cross-section uses 40% more area, removes two bends in the air path, and shortened the path by 50% for better air flow. The stock intake hose also is replaced with a rotational-molded tube for more flow volume. The stock air box lid additionally has been replaced with a silicone grommet to connect the intake tube and air filter to the air box. This alllows for more flexibility and engine movement. The kit is topped off with instructions and all the hardware necessary for installation. No cutting or modifications are required.
Mishimoto's intake system uses an XLPE, Cross-Linked Polyethylene plastic in its rotational-molded airbox and intake tube. THE XLPE material is not only stronger, but resists heat and UV rays. The kit's flexible grommet features injection-molded silicone to hold up against high heat levels in your engine bay. Silicone and a layer of MVMQ lining in the intake tube coupler helps fuel and oil resistance. Because of Mishimoto's specific material selections, this intake kit can withstand the rigors of frequent, intense drives.
